Brunch Visit to Rambuttri Road, Bangkok

Location: Behind Khao San Road, Rambuttri Road
Business Hours: Daily 07:00 AM – 02:00 AM
Visit Time: Approximately 9:00 AM

On this occasion, I went out for brunch and decided to explore Rambuttri Road, located just behind the bustling Khao San Road.

Although I arrived quite early in the morning, around 9 AM, and the restaurant seemed to still be preparing for the day, the door was open and staff were setting up for business.

Despite my concern about the early hour, several places were already in the process of opening.

Strolling down a quiet, tree-lined street in the calm of the morning brought a sense of peace and joy.
If Khao San Road is known for its chaotic, youthful energy, Rambuttri Road offers a more relaxed and tranquil atmosphere.

After wandering for a bit, I noticed a small statue inside a restaurant that felt oddly familiar and inviting, so I decided to stop by.

The restaurant’s decor matched the charming feel of the street. A staff member, who was still preparing the space, kindly guided me to sit wherever I liked. I chose an outdoor table to enjoy the open-air vibe.

I really appreciated the Thai-style interior — it felt warm and authentic.

While I was choosing what to eat, a sudden tropical rain shower poured down like a monsoon, adding an unexpected charm to the whole experience.

The restaurant offered a wide variety of dishes, and considering it’s located in a tourist-heavy area, the prices were quite reasonable.

Since I visited right at opening time, the food took a bit longer than expected to arrive — but I didn’t mind waiting, especially with a cold beer in hand.

I ordered grilled pork skewers and chicken rice bowl.

Later that evening, I walked past the same spot again and noticed that the area was much livelier at night, with many people out and about.

The open-air seating and indoor-outdoor layout of the restaurant made it feel even more atmospheric under the night sky.

Even though the food took a while to come out, I didn’t mind — it actually complemented the slow travel experience I was hoping for.

The prices were fair, especially for such a central location, and the flavor of the food was decent.

If you're looking to experience a quieter side of Bangkok, enjoy a relaxed brunch, or just want to feel more immersed in local life, Rambuttri Road is definitely worth a visit.
