A Must-Visit Local Chinese Restaurant in Korea – Jinhunggak in Dongincheon

If you're visiting Incheon as part of your Korea trip — especially around Chinatown or Sinpo Market — here’s a local gem you won’t want to miss!

Jinhunggak (진흥각) is a local Chinese restaurant that offers delicious food, generous portions, and very affordable prices. It's been officially recognized by the Korean government as a "Good Price Restaurant", making it a great spot for tourists looking to enjoy a satisfying meal without overspending.

Every day: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM

The restaurant is located right between Sinpo Market and Chinatown in Dongincheon.
It’s housed in a 3-story building dedicated entirely to the restaurant

1st Floor: Main dining area for individuals and small groups

2nd Floor: Large banquet-style hall for group gatherings and events

3rd Floor: Appears to be used for storage

Jinhunggak is also registered as a "Foreigner-Friendly Restaurant", and they mean it!
Each table has a self-order kiosk that supports multiple languages — perfect for travelers who don’t speak Korean.

Whether you speak English, Chinese, Japanese, or other languages, ordering is simple and stress-free.

They have a fun photo receipt event — if you participate, you get free fried dumplings!
Just ask the staff or check the signs near the counter.

Like most Korean-Chinese restaurants, the menu is varied and flavorful.
You can choose from individual dishes, course meals, and a selection of Korean and Chinese alcoholic beverages.

Here’s what we tried:

If you're traveling in Korea and want to experience a local favorite away from the typical tourist restaurants, Jinhunggak is a perfect choice.

Plus, the food here doesn’t leave you feeling heavy or bloated like some oily Chinese dishes. It’s more like clean, balanced home-style cooking — a pleasant surprise for international visitors!

You can easily visit Jinhunggak after exploring Chinatown, Sinpo Market, or even on your way from Incheon Station.
It’s a wonderful spot to take a break, recharge with a warm meal, and experience authentic Korean-Chinese cuisine like the locals do.
